My timing chain broke right after our 80,000 mile check up. The VW service dept. had even checked it off the list (that they had checked it) but it still broke. I know that we must have some kind of recourse but not sure how to go about it. We did go back to the service department but the dealership had changed from Ray Reece VW to Hanna VW. Thay said it would cost us a new engine replacement and that it is not their fault. I have written VW of America with no responce back from them. What should I do? if anything.???
