Just bought used 2015 beetle. Dash display says temp is 195. Dealer says it’s just a display setting, that it’s showing engine/coolant temp and I need to turn ***** to switch to outdoor ambient temp. I see no way to do this. I’m worried this is a fault indicator (coolant trouble) not a display setting???

 

Did you ever figure out how to fix this? Just showed up yesterday on our 2012 Beetle.

 

Hi! The right wiper stem that sticks out of your steering wheel has this little button on the tip you can push up or down that says "TRIP" diagonally. You can toggle through and select different settings to be displayed. It can show your average MPG, outside temperature, engine temperature, etc. it’s totally ok!!
