Solid State Ignition
I just bought a '72 Super Beetle. Intrying to learnas much as I can, I have found that a good way to increase dependablity is to replace the points ignition with a solid state set-up. I have looked online at prices and have seen some for around $75. Is it possible to make the conersion for about that amount of money or are there other parts that I would need to get. I am also wondering which one is a good one. There are many different kinds and I need some way of narrowing the choices down. Any ideas?
