If you have brought a genuine VCDS cable then you can register it online VCDS Dongle Registration then you can join the Ross-Tech forum.

Thanks, but no, i just ordered a cheap knock off version and hope it's worth it?
it's supposed to be the latest version that codes all vw and some others up through the 2016 models.
It also can be used to match a new key to the transponder which the dealer charges a good price to do, so if it at least does that it's worth the money i paid!
I bought a black key and had it cut on ebay, then bought a refurbed fob/remote(which included a new transponder chip) and put the two together.
I then programmed the fob to work but now i have to match the transponder before it will crank the car.
So if I can pull this off i will only have $100 dollars in a new 2nd key & fob! (that's including what i paid for the VCDS)
That would have cost at least double that from the dealer!
I will let you know more about it after i get it. And hopefully get some better info concerning the periodic stalling problem I am having.
Thanks!
