P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 Codes
 

I have a 98 Bug with the 2.0. It has developed a bad miss that will only
let you accelerate slowly. Quick acceleration, even in the driveway in park
causes bad misses that just bogs down the engine and it won't rev until you let up.

I am getting the P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 Codes and I have replaced the following:
Fuel filter, Plugs, Plug Wires, Mass Air Sensor, & Temp Sensor.

I noticed it revs a little better (in park in driveway) with the Fuel Pressure regulator unplugged.
I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see it shows 32psi at idle and with the engine off.
At idle with the FP regulator vac. unhooked it shows 40psi so I think that tells me the
FP regulator is working. But as I accelerate I don't see the Fuel Pressure rise it stays
right around 32psi. Should I see it rise? Is it perhaps my fuel pump not keeping up?

What sort of fuel pressure reading should I see on this car?

Any other ideas as to what my problem might be?

Possible Cause:

Wiring.
Ignition system.
Fuel injectors.
Fuel pressure.
Running out of fuel.
EVAP canister purge valve.
Evaporative emission system.
Low compression.
Base engine problems.
Engine Control Module (ECM).

Special Notes:

This feature search for engine misfire in a specific cylinder. Most of the time the cause for a misfire is a lack of combustion in a cylinder due to absence of spark, poor fuel metering, or poor compression.

Hey guys, have the same issues with my 2012 GLi 2.0T,.. P0300 code and sometimes the EPC light comes on too. But I didn't loose power and it's not missed firing or anything, just my idle oscillates between 800 and 1200 RPM's every time I'm not driving (it's a 6 spd), signs of vacuum leak??? I changed the coils, spark plugs and the throttle body sensor, no luck. Thinking about replacing the cam shaft positioning sensor now. Any ideas/recommendations? Thanks,
