how to change battery of a 98 Beetle?
 

Hi everyone. I'm new here.

I have a question about the 98 beetle I have. Recently it started to lose battery power after three to four days sitting there. So I bought a new battery in Autozone. But I can not figure out a way to pull the old battery out. It seems fastened by screws on sth. Does anyone have any experience doing so? Is it simply unfasten the two electrodes and pull out the old one? What about the wraps around the battery?

You have to remove the straps/supports that hold the battery in, as well as the cables. Then you should be able to remove it.
