Default Horn problem?

I need some help? I own a 1971 bug and recently installed a new horn. When I start the car, the horn will stay on. Finally, I had to
unhook one of the connections. Could it be that the connections are
simply crossed? (You can tell I'm not a mechanical guru.)Thanks.

I have the same problem with my 1970 bug, I also had to disconnect the power wire for the horn to keep it from going off all the time. If anyone knows about this problem, let us know. If not, I'm just going to try to fix it myself y/not

check horn relay and ground wire , if you have power to the horn go to the horn switch itself in the steering wheel and check that it is not touching the sides etc.
