Hey guys, Im trying to put a new headlight in my bosses daughters '02 beetle. The Latch to raise the hood wont budge. Any idea how to get the hood up so I can put the new light in and possibly a new hood latch?

try pushing down on the hood as someone pulls tha cable

 

Its not that part. Its the part where you pull the black tab, it wont move at all so the top latch wont budge.

you can reach up with a hook tool (bent hanger) and pull the saftey latch back
