Fuel Pump still running after shut off??
Ok so I have been searching throughout the site for other owners with the same problem. Im new to VW (and I love it!) so im still trying to learn as much as possible. Ive been a gearhead for years so im fine with the DIY part of mechanics. So im trying to figure this out on my 07beetle. It started a week ago, where i shut the car off and i can hear the fuel pump still running. Its not loud but i can hear the faint vibration from the tank. I ramped the car and sure enough it sounded like the in-tank pump. So i pull the fuse out from the cab and bam its off. My question (other than what ive read from the door prime) is if this is normal. It eventually shuts off but im paraniod its going to burn out the pump. ... so relay?? any help is greatly welcomed! oh and the car only has 35,000 miles on its 2.5

Issue solved 2007 2.5 VW Beetle fuel pump relay
So I spent a good portion of my day tracking down any professional knowledge about the fuel pump relay for my 2007 VW Beetle 2.5 that wouldn’t shut off. No one even at VW dealerships could tell me about the relay I was looking for with 8 pins with the number 409 ( 1J0906383C) 3DZ (8310009030) 12V 40A Well after a very frustrating day I took a chance with the 7 pin which worked and shut off the fuel pump perfectly. The part number I ordered through o’Reilly’s auto parts was 25-0235 1J906383C made by Import Direct OE replacement parts. I hope this helps anyone with the same problem as I had.
