I hit a pothole and the front bearing needs to be replaced on my 2002 Beetle. We are have a hell of a time getting the race off. Any suggestions? Also, the bearing we took off is a ball bearing and the bearing we bought for it is a more solid piece. Is that o.k.?

Nevermind, just got it off by grinding it down and breaking it with chisel and hammer.
