Recently purchased our first VW Bug. A 1974 Beetle in Excellent Condition!. We would like to know more about her though. For instance, she has no chrome, the bumpers, light wells and etc are all black, was this a special edition or something? Also we were told that the color names used to be funky like "plum crazy" and etc. Ours is a lemon/lime green, anybody know what that may have been called? Just curious, THANKS

 

hmm..i agree that the name likely had a funny name..but it is illuding me at the moment...

as for the chrome..i know that a friend of mine in college had one from aroudn that time, and he had chrome bumpers...so it may have been a chrome delete package?
