I have a new 08 Beetle manual - the car constantly vibrates and/or hums very loudly. I brought it in and they are telling me is the refrigerant pushing through the expansion valve. Has anyone else ever heard of this. Sometimes it does it for over a minute while the air is off or on, when I turn off the car, when I start the car, while driving etc..

Any help would be great because this is my 4th VW and while it's my first Beetle I've never heard this happening before.

i have had one do that before
but only with the air or defrost on
