I hope this is ok to post here -- looking for sympathetic Beetle enthusiasts.

My 19yo daughter has wanted a VW Beetle for years. Due to a bad circumstance, this may be her time. She drives DoorDash and her Altima is now dead. There are affordable Beetles in the area, she just needs a down payment.

Be careful with those early to mid 2000s beetles. Especially the convertibles.

Wife got one and everything broke on them. The automatic top stopped being automatic. Every light went out. Every power window. Transmission died twice. Even the doors! I have never had doors break on a car.

Have not seen similar problems in other VWs, but the bug had a bunch of recalls.
