my brother jus tbought a dune buggy & in it is a completely rebuilt air cooled motor from a very early VW bug. the motor has a hand crank with it & I do not know what the info should be on it. I need to sell/get rid of the motor & do not know how to list it. anyone know how to identify the motor?
we were told that the motor is from a very early VW bug. maybe the 50's or 60's. anyone know what type of value it may have, I am sure it is worth something to someone doing a clasic beetle restoration, right?

yes vw motors had hand cranks, and if you can locate a serial number generally found at the base of the generator stand and post it then more info can be found, it could be anything. Looks to be in great condition though!
