Hi. I have recently purchased a 2000 turbo beetle. Lately the check engine light comes on-I go and have the codes scanned and now the codes coming up are apparently the air pump or secondary air pump. I have been quoted 750.00 from the garage. Does anyone know anything about this?

check your vacume ines to the deverter valve
750 is twice as much as it should be to fix if it is bad
