2006 VW Beetle (diesel) ..Advise needed
Hello,
I would really like some information about a few different things regarding this car. 1) I need to know step by step info on how to change the battery. Also, whatever steps will be need to be done after it's replaced, (...like how to go about getting the on-board computer back on track) 2) What kind/type of oil is recommended for this VW diesel (synthetic or conventional)? 3) What sort of things need to be done routinely for tune-ups? 4) What type of diesel fuel should be used in this car during cold winter months (for Iowa USA? Diesel#1 or Diesel#2? Please advise! Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million!! Robin |
Was hoping to get some advise here, ....anyone out there?

i have an 01 beetle tdi, i always make sure to use diesel that has the additives in it. i have used farm diesel that didn't have the additives and it gelled my diesel.
as for the oil, my bf puts high grade oil in my bug, the same that he uses for his cummins, it seems to work just fine, ive never had a problem. i also try to change the oil every 3000 miles. |
