Default 2006 beetle purge valve

Hello all,

Cannot find a purge valve for my 2006 Beetle anywhere online (can only find up to year 2005). Assuming I have to go to a dealer then? Also, I have heard of something called a "factory immobiliser" that will shut down my car's computer if I try to replace the purge valve myself. Any truth to that?

Symptoms: Check engine light on. Car is hard to start (rich) ONLY after I fill up the gas tank. Once I get it started and rev the motor a couple of seconds, everything is fine until I fill up again. Is this in fact a purge valve that is stuck open? Can I remove the existing one, clean it, and possibly re-install without a problem with the afore-mentioned "immobiliser"? Thanks in advance!
