Hello,

I have a 2003 VW Beetle and it was running perfect until by mistake I topped of the level of the coolant with a little green color coolant (about a cup) and after a short period of time my check engine light came on and now when my cooling fan comes on, it makes a rddling knows. I know that VW takes the G12 coolant and I was told that little amount of different coolant should not make a difference.

Please advise what I should do. The code complains about the cooling system.

Check your coolant cap and the level sensor and make sure they are secured tightly.
