We just bought a 2001 VW beetle 2.0 5speed and when we test drove the car we noticed that it was in KM not MPH
I bought a speedo and put it in the car but the car wouldn't run. It would start but immediately stall. I tried it several times but no luck.
I put the original one in and everything was working great. I called the local garage and he said it probably needs a vehicle speed sensor which is only 42.00 but I want to know if this is really going to work or if he is just trying to throw parts at me. Has anyone ever had this same problem and if so will the speed sensor and new speedo work together to fix this problem???
