2001 beetle performance
 

ive got a 2001 bug with the 1.8 turbo. i was wondering what are some of the more common performance upgrades that are done to this car? from some of my research, it looks like computer tuning, pulleys, intakes, and exhausts are the most common, but what will yield the most benefit?how much modification can the stock turbo system accomodate?also, about how much horsepower and torque will i be looking at? thanks for the help.

well, the major work that you can do is buy a K04 turbo kit, thats what i have on my bug... I have that kit, plus a custome intake, exhaust, and performance cams, from catcams.. and a Unichip piggy back ECU. its mainly the small things, like a manual or electronic boost controler, best bet is to get them from TurboXS. but there is a wide range of things to do for it..

you know what i have have heard is that porting your heads is a good up grade, its either a lot of work or a very expensive job, but i have also its good upgrade
