2000 Beetle shakes when accelerating
 

I have a 2000 New Beetle that shakes when I accelerate past 40 miles per hour. It also started occasionally making a sound like a bar or something under the front of the car is loose. It was recently realigned and the tires balanced.

It's either an axle or a wheel bearing or both.
