I have a 2000 Beatle GLX (Turbo, heated leather seats, sunroof, 6 CD changer ... the works) that was driven with the over temp light on until the engine sized up. VW dealership wants $8,000+ to put a refurbished engine in it. Needless to say, that is more than the care is worth so I'm trying to determine how to best sell it. I will check with a junk yard but don't expect much. It would be ideal if someone had a beatle that was in a wreck so they have the engine but need the chasis but I don't know how to connect with them (Craigs List, eBay, ...). Any suggestions would be apprciated. BTW, the car is yellow, body is in excelent condition.
