Default 2002 1.8 Turbo misfires

Hi folks,
My son has got himself an 02 turbo bug as his first car.
Its got over 200,000 KM on the clock so has had a good life.

Its developed a misfire which the previous sellers had fixed prior to our collection. I don't know what they did and neither do they...

I got me a scanner and the below are all of the results held in memory
(I then reset all faults prior to doing a 5 km drive and re-scanning):

OBDII/EOBD Diag
PO300 Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected
PO303 cylinder 3 misfire detected
PO420 catalyst efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
-----------------------------
17608 -035 KWP 1281
Boost Pressure control valve (N249): mechanical malfunction: P1200

Again this one came up after the reset, drive and re-scan

17559 -163
Long term fuel trim additive air bank 1: range 1: system too lean : P1151

17978 -163
Engine start blocked by immobilzer: P1570

16795 -163
Secondary air injection system: incorrect flow detected : P0411

16684 -035
Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected : P0300
Static - no
Again this one came up after the reset, drive and re-scan

16688 -163
Cylinder 4 misfire detected : P0304

16685 -164
Cylinder 1 misfire detected : P0301

16687 - 035
Cylinder 3 misfire detected : P0303
Static - no indication on
Again this one came up after the reset, drive and re-scan

16686 -163
Cylinder 2 misfire detected : P0302

17772 -163
Cylinder 4 ignition circuit open circuit : P1364

16804 -035
Catalyst system: bank 1: efficiency below threshold : P0420
---------------------

ECU information
VAG No: 06A906032JR
Component: 1.81 5VT NB AG4 3999
Coding: 00003
WSC: 00066

Readiness test all passed

Readiness test after reset, drive and re-scan
Catalyst fail
Evap sys fail
Sec air sys fail

Airbag light is always on and the scanner always gets a link error
Can i turn off this light?

I appreciate any guidance on fixing this vehicle. I don't want to fix by part replacement until the misfire goes away!

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Bold codes.

VAG Error Code: 17608/004608
EOBD II Error Code: P1200

Fault Location:
Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249) (Turbocharger Recirculating Valve) - Mechanical Malfunction

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Power Loss.

Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249) (Turbocharger Recirculating Valve) faulty.
Diverter Valve faulty.

Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249) (Turbocharger Recirculating Valve).
Check/Replace Diverter Valve.

VAG Error Code: 16687/10593/6352/000771
EOBD II Error Code: P030

Fault Location:
Cylinder 3 - Misfire Detected

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Lack/loss of power.
Hard start.
Engine hesitation.

Wiring/Connector(s).
Ignition system.
Fuel injectors.
Fuel pressure.
Running out of fuel.
EVAP canister purge valve.
Evaporative emission system.
Low compression.
Base engine problems.
Engine Control Module (ECM) damaged.

Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace all faulty Wiring/Connector(s).
Do a compression test.
Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB) 15 if misfire changes location.

Special Notes:
This feature search for engine misfire in a specific cylinder. Most of the time the cause for a misfire is a lack of combustion in a cylinder due to absence of spark, poor fuel metering, or poor compression.

Tech Notes:
The P0303 code means that the cylinder 3 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks an if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 3. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done to diagnose problem.

Description:
When a misfire occurs, engine speed will fluctuate. If the engine speed fluctuates enough to cause the Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor (G28)/Crankshaft Position Sensor (G28) signal to vary, the Engine Control Module (ECM) can determine that a misfire is occurring.
