1964 volkswagen

what is a 1964 beetle worth? I found one setting inside a warehouse for 15 years. It ran when put inside, but the brakes were out. It is missing the running boards and the interior smells very bad from setting with the windows up.

Well, MSRP was $1,595 in 1964. The value now is probably about $2,500 for the condition you described. I just bought a cherried out '67 (bad ass) for $3,000....lookin to sell?

mostly it depends on if the title is still to be found.. with a title it is worth what you can get for it.. 1500 to 4500 depending on hope stock it is and how good the condition. No title.. not much .. you will get more for parting it out on Ebay:eek:

Hi flow I just bought a '64 in similar shape as the one you described. I paid 1550. for it after negotiating. The brakes just started workin after the guy put fluid in and I found the motor sludged out and tired but still very strong. Check the floor boards Ill have to replace the batery and behind pass seat area(very common). I also have lots o dents to repair and am keeping it stock 6volt .And I look forward to that sweet sound it will make after I replace the rotted out muffler with a stock one. Interior will need new carpet and has seat covers already. Last thing will be a new paint job and new bumpers. So good luck w the '64 I know I could use some.
