06 beetle trunk won't open
 

I have to lift the latch or press the remote release 20-30 times to get my trunk to open. It's been to the dealer 4 different times and they can't figure it out. Has anyone experienced this or have a solution. Thanks.

The remote key used to open the trunk has a built in delay to prevent inadvertant opening. It doesn't work like the door locks that actuate immediately. Try pressing down and holding the trunk release for a count of five and see if it opens, if it does not have the remote key recoded. Give this a try before you panic; good luck.
