air ride verses coilovers

I have an 2004 GLI Jetta that I want to lower. I take her to car shows but she is also my daily driver. I like the idea of the air ride. But I understand that with coilovers you have better control. The steering isn't as loose with them. Any suggestions or opinions which one to go with? This is my first Volkswagen and I have never put air ride on anything that I own. Thanks for you feed back.

Replacing an adjustable coilover is really helpful, that you can tune it lower or harder for the show and turn it back for daily driving and comfortable experience and the cost of replacement spends less bucks.

Thanks! I went ahead and got the air ride. Super excited about it. Just saw all the pictures of the Jetta with air ride and they look so bad a $$.

The air ride will definitely get you a lower set up and comfort, but you won't get as much performance as you would from the coilovers.

It really just comes down to what you have planed for that vehicle.
