FS: 1984 RABBIT GTI 20VT
Ok.......
Well I have a 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI with a 1998 Volkswagen Passat (AEB) 1.8T swap..
I really would like to hold onto this car.. But due to being young and trying to budget whats most inportant. Im affraid I have to get rid of this wether I like to or not....
Basically this car just needs cosmetics done to make this a complete car! All the performance aspects are taken care of. So you can make it look the way you want it.
AFTER I FINISHED THIS BUILD I ONLY PUT 437 MILES ON ALL THE BRAND NEW PARTS AND REBUILT MOTOR, ETC
Anyway here are the things that are done to the Rabbit...

INTERIOR
-Stock blue front and rear seats. (Driver seat has a worn spot on the left foam support from getting in and out) Rest are in great shape!
-Has blue carpet still. Worn and is ready for some new love.
-Has stock dash, gauge cluster, and (4) 42 DRAFT DESIGN gauges. (Oil temp, water temp, oil pressure, and boost)
-Has AEM Wideband
-custom fitted dual gauge pod on the driver pillar (Carbon fiber look a like)
-Stock shifter and shift ****
EXTERIOR
-BRAND NEW under coating just applied to the under carriage!
-Working sunroof
-Hood pins with straps for added saftey
-Diesel rear hatch (Doesnt have the wiper, cleaner look)
-Blue High intensity head lamps (Look GREAT at night!
-15' MOMO 5 spoke rims. Looks good with the car.
-Yolkohama 50 series tires 215 R 50 Two of them are bald on the inner tread.
-Factory Pearl white paint thats fadded in several places
SUSPENSION
-KYB STRUTS
-NEUSPEED SPORT SPRINGS (.50 DROP)
-BRAND NEW Poly Urethane bushings all around the entire car..
- Rear disc conversion (from a 86 Golf GTI)
-Steel braided brake lines from Master cylinder all the way to the rear calipers. (I like this a lot better than the hardened steel lines. A lot more support)
-Brand new brake pads
-Brand new Master Cylinder and Fluid all through out the lines
-All brand new bearings and races
ENGINE (Engine only has 437 miles on it since te rebuild!)
-1998 Passat 1.8T (AEB) Had originally 5,xxx miles on it. Then was rebuilt.
-New Head gasket
-New oil pan gasket
-Old school oil pan thats been tapped for oil drain
-Scirocco oil pick up tube
-New rod bearings
-3 angle valve job
-16v timing belt tensioner
-New timing belt
-VR6 pullies
-ABA altenator and bracket
-After market water pump (Has a drain plug in it so you dont have to undo the hoses anymore! =))
-Has NEW original crank case breather
-ABA Oil filter housing
-8v Steel coolant pipe
-New 1 window cam sensor
-New Valve guides
-New lifters
-Stock cams
-Stock valve springs
-New valve cover gasket
-3 wire valve cover (Comes with valve cap breather, like on the new beetles)
-Fresh 5w30 Euro Brand Oil
-MK3 Fuel setup (Filter and lines)
-Custom made Short Runner Intake manifold (Peter Blias)
-Neuspeed VR6 OBD-1 Throttle body (3')
-Custom made Equal length tubular, top mount exhaust manifold. T3 Flange (Peter Blias)
-New rebuilt Hybrid turbo. T3-TO4B Housing with a 60-1 Wheel inside, Stage 3 exhaust wheel, P-Trim, 3' Inlet and 2.5' outlet, .63 A/R Hot side and a .58 A/R Cold side, Oil cooled, Exhaust housing painted with high heat paint, 5 bolt discharge. (Only 740 miles since rebuild) According to original owners miles and mine added.
-High Flow Race Air filter
-Custom made 2.5' Intercooler black intercooler piping.
-EBAY Front mount Intercooler (Been VERY consistant with air temps, Ive been extremely satisfied) 26' long 11' high 2' thick, Bar and plate design, Aluminum end tanks, outlets are 2'.
-All silicone was used for couplers (3 ply or more)
-T-Bolt clamps were used
-Steel braided oil feed line -6AN with an oil restrictor so you dont blow out your seals
-Custom made Steel braided oil return -10AN
-Custom made 2.5 inche mandrel bent aluminized down pipe with heat wrap
