2009 Passat 2.0T needs engine
$2,000 or best reasonable offer
We bought the Passat used a year ago. It suddenly jumped forward then died. The body is in great condition but, you will need to be great at fixing cars or willing to pay someone to install an engine. It has the 2.0 T engine. My son absolutely loved the car but, now we are just trying to recoup our loss here and find him another car. Mechanic says the valves are either bent or broken. This is a very common problem on these as everyone here probably knows and unfortunately we are learning this now. The timing chain likely was not changed at 100,000 like recommended. This would be great for a fan of these that wants to have a project to work on or if someone has a good engine and needs a body. Car has 140,000 miles and is located in the Massachusetts.
