We have a 1999 New Beetle, dark blue with grey interior, good condition, 116,000 miles. It's an automatic, with manual windows and a CD player.

The Blue Book value of the car is over $3,000, but we're offering it for $2,200 OBO because the car failed the emissions part of the inspection so we brought it to the mechanics at Volkswagen in Manchester, who think it needs a $400 fix to solve the problem. We have a 60-day temporary inspection sticker on it, so you'll need to get the emissions fixed before then. The AC is also not functioning, and we never did bring it in to see what the problem is. (We just sucked it up and opened the windows!)

The car runs great.
