1959 Ragtop
I am the 1st owner, of a 1959 Ragtop Beetle Black , Oil Bath Motor has 33k miles on it. Not registered since 1969 , In florida. This car was stored for nearly 34 years.
This car has partial nipples on the tires. Flat of course. Ok here it is. A basic black car , perfect Sliding TOP not ripped. The interior is un ripped as far as seats , door panels. They do have spots on them. Perfect camel haired colored interior headliner(new one in a box). After years of storage the paint needs to be redone etc. To be honest I have way to much to type here. So let me get you the basics. Brand new 1914 cc dual webber 44idf balanced blue printed. All new interior parts EVERYTHING . All new exterior parts EVERYTHING. Betwen the 2 interior, exterior I have over 6000.00 in parts , motor was 4000.00 , car originally was 4000.00 grand total of 14,000.00....... I am accepting offers . Starting at like 8,000.00 not looking to make a killing here only to open up my garage. I may ponder a trade of a karmann ghia ragtop completed ?????? Year is negoitable.. EVERYTHING should include everything I could remember there are some things I know I have forgotten odds & in's.... I pretty much have a new car but not enough time to do this restoration. Ok here is the news , The car is seperated at this time. I had a new drivers side heater channel welded into the car. The body is off the pan. Now of course if any of this sounds of interest to you , EMail me. I made this short intentionally there is way to much included in this car. This car is what you read about in Hot VW good deal , good thing. I made so many purchases from JBUGS the guy I buy from helped me contact the editor (his neighbor) about my car. When it was to be completed he wanted to do a story but LIKE I said never was able to finish it.. |
