91 Vanagon - Stalling

Hey

My 91 Vanagan starts, idles and runs fine for a couple of minutes, then stalls. It will start straight after it stalls, then it idles, then dies again, etc.

Has this happened to anyone else? I can't work out what's making it happen.

Thanks

are you loosing power to the coil?
hook a test light up to it and see if it goes out as the car dies
same with the fuel pump

RE: 91 Vanagon - Stalling

On the throttel body, there is an electrical switch. If that is not adjusted properly, you will have problems with you idle. My old 86 vanagon syncro did what you are describing until I got the switch adjusted.
