I have a 2012 vw crafter that has lights popping up on the dash since i have had it. these lights are the abs, esp, coolant shortage, bonnet catch, handbrake. the van runs and drives fine but these lights need to go for obvious reasons.
I have checked the DRIVE can-bus and everything seems fine there, 1.5v-2.5v on the lo, 2.5v-3.5v on the hi, and its reading 60 ohms.
then I checked the CONVENIENCE can-bus and I was getting 4.5v on one side and .5v on the other! the voltage would also slightly fluctuate up and down .2v.
then when the ignition is switched off I'm getting a reading of basically 12v out of one line and 0v out of the other?
I'm pretty sure this isn't normal but I could be wrong?
after finding this on the convenience can-bus, my thinking was that there maybe a faulty product like the radio, centre console, dash etc etc. I went and unplugged everything on the can-bus that I could find, checking my multimetre as I went but nothing!
I've also checked plugs and wiring and couldn't see any obvious shorts or problems.
any help or ideas appreciated !!!
