Default 1999.5-2005 Jetta Survey

Today i rode in a 2000 1.8TJetta with 375,000 miles on it. I was just curious is there anyone in this forum who can top this? or does anyone come close? How does it run? I was suprised a Jetta could live this long.....I know TDI can live with alot on it but 375k is still alot.

Any engine can last forever if you replace all the parts the are worn as the car ages...bottom end top end belts accessories...you can have a chassis with as many miles as possible...but what counts is how many miles the original engine had on it.

As far as i know he said that he replaced all the belts, spark plug wires, and gaskets. He's also on his 2nd transmission.

i have a 2002 jetta gls and it has 176,219 miles on it and it drives like a champ, just do my check ups on it everytime on the dot, its just been a trooper, i use it for work and driving all over the place, its great in the snow i take it up to the mountains and just keeps going and going and going. one of the best cars i have ever had. 5 stars.
