Use pure oxygen instead of turbo/super charger?

i dont have all the math figured out yet but, people use forced induction to get more oxygen into the piston chamber, right? lets say a turbo charged engine is running at 10 lbs of boost. at this pressure there is going to be more oxygen pushed into the engine, obviously. lets say it 3 times as much as normal just for an example. so if there is about 20% oxygen in the air we breath there is 60% being pushed into the engine. so with out having to pay for all the expensive parts (turbo, intercooler, tubing, ect.) to get to the 60%, could you just supplement the 40% to the engine with pure oxygen to get to 60%? i'm only saying for like 30 seconds at a time and only like 3-4 times a week, if that. and you probably wouldn't have to upgrade many of the internals. probably just upgrade the fuel system. so this could be installed on a nearly stock engine and get some decent horsepower gains.

so is it posible? does this make any scene?

I would think ox is very explosive. When the start of the injection cycle takes place it might be violent. I dont know the CFM capability of these engines, but I'd think you would need a significant amout more than those "nose" hose things.

Wow, be careful. If this was safe and worked, they would be doing it. Someone must have tried. I think I'll check Mr. Google on this one.
