2000 jetta 2.0 want to turbo
 

hey i have a 2000 2.0L jetta that i want to turbo or supercharge how much will this run me? i want to get the horsepower up to around 200-225? is it even worth it? i love my VW just want more power from it

I have a 2002 Jetta GLS 2.0L and alsowant some more power. Nothing too extreme though. The only thing I have been able to find so far is a supercharger kit from Nuespeed, but it only gets you 135 HP. (http://www.neuspeed.com/products/product_details.asp?app=47|J4&type=11&ltyp e=ns_euro&p_id=620). Everything I have found so far is for the 1.8T and VR6 models. Let me know if you find something.

actually the 2 liter is stock with 115 HP and neuspeed claims the supercharger adds 50% which comes out to be 172.5 HP.

www.vfengineering.com and www.kineticmotorsports.com they usually have stuff, if not get back to me. If I was you guys I would turbo it..you can push more HP

get dual turbo from bosch special order its 6500 for everthing and has a 18 month warrenty

Yea yea, Cas I was gonna save up for one. ( would take a while) But someone told me it's better just to get Stock turbo like on the golf GTI

Just sell your 2.0 cause everyone is looking for fuel efficient cars these days so it shouldnt be to hard, and if you want a good fun vw buy a corrado vr6 or g60. I regret not buying one but I got my 1.8t instead which also makes me happy. If you turbo'd your 2.0 at very very max on stock internals you would still be almost at stock 1.8t horsepower (or less).

yes. all the engine components even axles, your transmission, would all be better designed if you just went with a 1.8T. Sadly, I'm in the same situation. I have a 2000 Jetta 2.0GL that was handed down to me from my father and I like it, but it's slow. And everyone that I talk to tells me to buy a new car. Is there any other way out?
