I'm a german car fan looking to buy a 2003 (or 2004) Jetta for my daughter who is a brand new driver. I'm impressed by the safety features, styling& economy of the Jetta and received good feedback from a body shop guy that specializes in import repairs. His input was good safe car that takes a crash very well as compared to comparable cars. He suggested that window regulators and ingnition coils are frequent weak points.

I figured that I'd get the best input here - so fire away, I welcome all of the information and opinions you can offer.
