Hey everyone,

Well first of all let me introduce myself, my name is Joe and Im from Asheville NC and frankly speaking I'm a city proclaimed Subaru Enthusiast. Since the Age of 7 or earlier I have been around subarus and pretty much subarus online...I have driven rarely anything else. Well I must say growing up I have always had my eye on a VW Golf GTI VR6 1998 mainly, I love that Electron Blue color hehe. And in my area they are RARE and you never see them.

Well Im hoping for some feedback from you guys on the car cause low and behold I have gotten the chance to purchase one for my very own and it is exactly what I liked as a child, Im now 20 btw lol.

Its a 1998 GTI VR6 Electron Blue with 191,000 on it (highway miles) the lady that owns it used it to go back and forth from work. and Im just trying to justify to myself that this is the one for me, it is awfully high mileage and they usually say not to buy anything over 150k but then again she is only asking 4k for the whole car.

can you guys offer any advice what it may be like to my subarus, how it might par up with a subaru or other cars (racing stories welcome maybe if there is another type of VR6 you might recommend or stuff to look at when I look at the car Im going to look at it tomorrow but won't be able to purchase until Feb. 13 so I have time to plan and look will upload some pictures for you guys tomorrow. Hope everything goes well and that I get lots of feedback and hopefully be a proud member and owner with everyone else here
