New VW Guy

Whats up guys. Im new to the VW world. So new in fact that I havent yet bought one! Im open to any and all sugesstions so throw them my way. Right now Im thinking about getting a 04 Jetta GLI 1.8T. Im looking for something that I can do a lot of performance mods to so if theres another model thats better suited for that let me know.
