New Jetta purchase questions
 

Hi,

I am planning on buying Jetta S, but am unable to decide on the following two important aspects:
1. Should I buy a manual or an automatic transmission ? I am unable to decide because I am not sure how much resale value the manual one will loose as compared to an automatic version.
2. Should I buy the 2009 or 2010 model ? One of the dealers told me that there is not much of a difference between the 2009 and 2010 models in the "S" trim level. Is this true and do any of you see any downsides to buying a 2009 Jetta model ( other than disadvantage of the decrease in resale value ) ?

Not sure if you already got this information but stock gears on 04 1000RR are 16 front & 41 rear.
