VW friends,

I would hereby like to introduce a new project that just started, we want to convert a Golf mk2 syncro to a mk2 4motion including an engine swap and off course all sorts of upgrades including inter-cooler, turbo, motor-management etc. Currently we haven't decided what kind of engine we would like to place in the golf, does anyone of you have a suggestion? The 4Motion haldex system comes from a GolfV R32.

When the conversion is completed, we want to take the car to sprint days and set good times on quarter-mile runs.

I wanna put that 4motion on my jetta someday.

 

It is a hell of a job to put a 4motion system on a non-4 wheel drive drive car, but if you can manage to build it, you have an awesome car!

 

Hmmm i tried to add an avatar to my profile. Does anybody know if this feature is disabled?

 

I actually tried doing that, but can't find the feature anywhere. I guess is not working now...

 

c'mon people it's 2010! Avatar won a lot of oscars... why can't we put our own avatars in our profiles???

Thanx man! It is a '89 golf mk2 gti syncro. Everything is still original so a lot of work has to be done. The interior will have to go out and a roll cage has to go in. And of course the 4motion system has to be mounted.

It will be a long term project but we hope to have the golf on the grid by February 2011.
