I've recently purchased my first VW...a 1999 Jetta as a learning car for my daughter.

It does have a couple of issues...but I'll ask for input after I look around the site.

I've been on bike forums for the past few years, so I know how all this works and I'm looking forward to having a pile of fun with this car...it's just a 2.0L with a 5spd, but I've always loved the look of these cars and I'm pretty happy to now own one, even if it is a little on the rough side...

Here's a pic of my other toy...

The letters "DRL" are always lit in green on the instrument panel. Looking in the Owner's Manual,

And who has asked about that?

It will also depend where you live as there is no green DRL warning on UK models.

DRL stands for day time running lights

We know what it means I'm asking why as he mensioned it when no one else has in this thread.

GTI John 09-05-2012 01:47 PM

Maybe because he is new to the VW scene and asked why it was the lite was for .
