Anyone know the secret to changing the engine air filter on a Jetta Wolfsburg 1.8T? That thing kicked my butt! It was almost impossible to get the airbox apart with room to replace the filter. Does the whole airbox need to come out to do it easily?

it is a challenge though...take your time

 

correct..it should be a lid of sorts holding it in, and its been a whiley since ive worked on one...it may have clips and screws.
