Default Hiya, come hear my story..

Hi all,

Brand new to the forum, and figured before I dove right in, I should let everyone know who I am, and what I'm doing to my vdub.

For starters, I'm not new to forums in general, so I know what they are all about :] other than that, I'm twenty-years old, and have had a fascination with Volkswagens, primarily Jettas, my whole life. So of course, when I turned 16, the car I bought was a 96' Jetta GL (icky automatic though). The car was left stock through out the last two years, basically because a lot of money went into repairs. However, now it's time for its transformation, both inside and out. I'm looking for a new engine so that I can start adding the performance parts on it. So far, it has a new audio system and the dash is redone. But as most know, that's barely anything. I have a lot of plans for this car (tranny swap for example) and a lot of questions to ask. While I am no dummy about VWs, I am no expert either! I certainly need all the help I can get. In the end, it will be a totally different car, i've already dubbed it the "Chanel Car". While it is now a grey-purple, my idea for the paint is flat black, which would match the black and silver interior well. Hopefully all goes well, and I look forward to hearing all the recomendations and suggestions!

Bree
