Hey, I'm new...

Hi, i've been into the import scene and am now looking into a VW. My current options to buy are the 2007 Jetta (2.0T 6a if possible), 2007 GTI 4 door, 2006 Passat 2.0T 6a, 2007 Mazda6, 2007 Subaru Legacy. I've driven all except the jetta and GTI so far. Ok, so i have a couple questions...with the 2.0t, can you use the same mods that are for the GTI in the jetta and passat? And, since the weight of the GTI/Jetta/ Passat are pretty similar, are the 1/4 mile times close? And finally, how are the automatic 6 speed tranny's?

[sm=smiley20.gif]Thanks in advance....and please don't slam me for these questions....

Welcome, as stated above, I'm also MK4 guy, don't really know a whole lot about the new ones. I wouldn't race a Passat..ha ha..it's more of family/luxury car, even though it's turbo. The GTI's are sexy as hell and I would've gotten one of those hadn't had the best deal with my Jetta.

RE: Hey, I'm new...

Thanks, well the reason why i'm looking into these cars is b/c i recently had a daughter and my current car (2002 mitsu mirage "technica" coupe) is WAY too small. So i'm looking for something with more space obviously and something that has some power to have a little fun with....[sm=badbadbad.gif]....
