Hello, 1970 Beetle Restoration
Hi,
I have a 1970 Beetle that i am restoring from the ground up. I am going to have to replace all of the rubber on the car. I will no doubt be asking a lot of questions from the members about how to do stuff, and where to find. Please have some patients with me as I will probably ask somequestions that most likely have come up a lot. Thanks up front for all your expertise help.
Some background on myself:
I have a 30ft x 50 ft shop thatI personally built that also has a 24 ft x 14 ft paint booth added on to it. I have a lift and most all the tools to do full restorations and i have a background in mechanics and body work / custom painting, so I have some knowledge of this form of work. It took me 2 years to set up my shop and this is my first restoration on a Beetle. I have restored a 1937 Chevy 2Dr Master Deluxe about 20 years ago.
I am also an engineer in an auto manufacturing company. I have built homes, pools, done mason work, plumbing and almost anything else one can imagine.(Jack of all trades). Mostly I want to retire and build Kit cars and restore older vintage vehicles.
Thanks for the welcome.
