Greetings from the Lowcountry
Hi,
My name is Mike Trimmier. I just got a 2001 Cabrio to commute from my new job in Savannah Ga/Beaufort SC. Brought it home from Charleston today from a Sr at the Citadel. Had a nice time talking with him as I have recently just returned from Iraq/Afghanistan after 3 years working helo's (less vacations) His candor was impeccable! Though I am about to turn 47 in December, we seemed to click pretty well. Kinda reminded me of talking with the Vietnam veterans when I was growning up. I do have a few questions about the car which will be posted elsewhere. To date I've had a '65 Beetle and a '71 Ghia. Other than "test driving" a really crapped out "New" beetle this is my first ride in a contemporary VW. Digging it so far! Corvair guy to date so no haters!
Regards

Welcome to the forum Mike.
I hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Oh just as a lttle tip and good auto forum etiquette it would be useful if you added your car spec into your signature then users won't need to keep asking. You could add your location as well.
