Default Greetings -

As stated, greetings. I'm an "oldtimer". I've owned well over a dozen VWs since the late 1960s. My involvement was a fluke. One of my friends bought a VW for his wife as a commute car. It was a 60 Bug but with a 61 1200cc. She "christened" it by attempting a "fit" under a Ford F150. A mutual friend, who managed a body shop, told them the best and least expensive fix was to "chop it" into a Baja. So they did. Then I got bit by the "bug". I got a 59 convertible, with a 61 1200cc, and made it a Baja - then a 'glass buggy. From there, I bought a 73 (registered as) sand rail, and like they say, the rest is history.
The 'glass buggy.
Jim
