I just bought a 1969 VW Bug for my wife to fix up & drive. I know nothing about these things other than riding around Europe in the '60s & '70s in a couple of them (as a passenger). I'm a retired Air Force radar technician on fighter planes and a retired Boeing Electrical Engineer. My wife Leanne, dog Remington & I have lived here in the Okanogan Mountains in north central Washington State on the Canadian border since the early 2000s. We're on a mountain top (Fletcher) so have a 270 deg. view from the front deck. I have five old tractors---some of them necessary for clearing the half mile driveway in winter. We feed & water the wildlife, mostly deer & grouse, with the occasional elk & bear. I intend checking in with some questions concerning the upgrading & repair of the Bug.
