is a 2007 EOS motor compatible w/ a 2008 GTI motor/ECM?
 
i put a 2007 (BPY) 2,0T EOS motor in a 2008( BPY) GTI. will it be compatible/ do I need a 2007 EOS ECM to control it? Will it??

Swapping engines maybe physically ok but there are different coding in ecu's. The BPY is used in 19 different VAG models e.g.

Manufacturer: VW, Date(s) Used: 05/2008-11/2010, Model: Eos, Engine Code: BPY, 147Kw, 200PS, 2.0 Ltr, 4 Cyls, Remarks: North American Region (NAR), Canada ("CDN"), South Korea ("ROK"), USA ("USA")
