I have an old man sports car, 2000 VW Cabrio GLS red, 5 speed manuel
I've had for 3 years, new paint job, 4 new struts, new alternator, matching VW wheels, new plugs, new gas filter and exhaust system and regular oil changes. Still runs strong with 160K Its hard to get it in 1st gear, not sure if it linkage or should I pull the trans and replace gears or put a used new trans in it. I read some post and believe maybe I should start with Cottman or Armaco , I'm staying away from VW dealers
